These amazing plants were planted, one in each breeze block hole. So there are about 8 individual plants. Every year for 50yrs, these plants have surfaced in spring and boldly flowered for a minimum of 2 months. No food, fertiler, no extra wateing or weeding ... just beautiful purple cushions of colour, year on year ! (apparently shoud be called aubrieta)

2009 cruise. There is a door in a wall 20ft from us and if you look through a hole in it, you can look across 3 countries ? - High up on Aventine Hill, overlooking Rome, lies a most unusual villa. It is the Villa del Priorato dei Cavalieri di Malta, belonging to the Knights of Malta, otherwise known as the Knights of St. John Hospitaler. Villa del Priorato di Malta, I Cavalieri di Malta,
My attempt at creating Christmas cottages - I dream of Disney type spires adorning my pond, twinkling with lights. But by the time I think about it, each year, it is too cold to go out to create and wire it up.
